I am looking at the trial version of system commander and I'm trying to work out how to add contacts to a domain.

Can you give me an idea of how to do it.

I'd like to place all the new users into a new OU and input them from a file - can you give me an example.

So for example, how would I add users John Doe from John.Doe@testemail.com and Allen Smithy from Allen.Smithy@example.com to the domain Company.com in the OU New Contact ?

We have all our production systems under a specific OU and I would like to know if it's possible to automate a report that lists the local groups/local users of each server. Since all the local groups are populated by AD groups, it would even be better if the report would show the users in those groups that are members of a specific server. As an example we have ServerA and under Administrators we added the AD group DBA (JohnA, JoeA). We would like the report to show JohnA and JoeA as Administrators on ServerA.
Thanks,

Got an interesting one that I am not sure how to search the forums for. Here's some background though. We have a rather large Exchange GAL (about 100K+ listed). Part of our convention is that the display name for distribution lists has always started with a slash "/" character so they will appear at the top of the list. With all of that in mind, many user accounts are in these groups. We use the Hyena properties box (not the shell properties) to manage users for the most part. When we need to add a user to a distribution list, it works fine. However, if we need to remove a user from he DL, it fails; if we do the same operation using Shell properties (that is, going to a user, looking at the shell properties, and remove them from the DL with a slash in it), it works fine. From the "popup" errors that appear, it looks like the path has slashes in it and the slash in the name is being confused as an OU delimiter/special character causing Hyena not to find the path to the group. Tried to attached 2 screenshots of the successive errors - not sure if they came through. Any ideas?<a href="http://systemtools.com/toolboard/attachment.php?attachmentid=81&d=1367525266" title="Name: Capture1.JPG

Many of my HP servers do not print out a line in Hyena Exporter Pro in my output for the win32_processor class. The Hyena messages say it exported fine. The server has no errors when I logged on to through Hyena Exporter Pro to retrieve the data.

I found this:

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/953955?wa=wsignin1.0

Sure enough, all of these servers are HP DL580-G3's with dual-core Xeon processors. Everythinng else works fine. My problem is I need to report on the CPU's and cores. I don't believe the number of cores shows up anywhere else. There is "logical processors" in the OS wmi but that is not the same as cores.

Any other suggestions besides applying this hotfix to all of these servers? I don't think this is going to happen for a problem like this...

Thanks!

We are endeavoring to create daily reports for administrators to review daily and see what modifications were done to the AD. I am sure there are ways to pull the data but am new to the reporting features in Hyena to automate this process and schedule it as a daily task.

Hi together,

when performing a view on the diskspace of a server, i see the "free space" in a dot-separated form (e.g. 1234.56MB or 12.34%). This view i want to copy to clipboard and paste it to Excel (quick & dirty, but itīs okay).
My problem is the format. Is it possible to edit this view in order to replace the "dot" in a "comma"?
An example: free-space is 4.09% --> copy&paste to Excel --> this will "re-format" to September 04.

Do you have any ideas what i can do? Thanks in advance!

Regards from Munich/Germany
It says "To restrict the query to only clients or only servers, add a clause that includes the ProductType parameter.
